I've been looking for wide tubulars and found this:

http://www.cyclart.com/newpage11.html

"Tubular tires: Hutchinson Primato Corsa 700x28 cotton, Clement Paris Roubaix size, but lighter! 245gram French made 70s Italian style. #5306 $45"

Haven't seen or tried them, so give Jim Cunningham a call.
