Subject: [Classicrendezvous] A new list:an informal intro..

Well Ive lurked in here for almost as long as the original CR <alto> started, and seeing as some people are introducing themselves, etiquette prevailed & I thought I had better do the same...

Im just about the right side of 40, run a small computer services business in Mayfair central London (thats the dark blue card on the UK Monopoly board) and live within a 5 minute cycle ride from the Millennium Dome in Greenwich SE London)

I have been cycling a long time and still try to put some miles into the legs (though Im maxing out at about 150 if Im lucky, mostly commuting and occasional runs and touring, I am a generalist I have early bikes (1886) through to the latest one being a 1998 Recumbent - I suppose I have about 30 odd machines and they are all ridden apart from the ones in pieces, I have most of the really important UK handbuilt marques pre and post war, excepting Selbach, Granby and Thanet.

I am currently restoring 2 early Bianchis (both with Paris Roubaix Campag mechs) and trying to get a very early Excel lugless to work with a Vittoria Margherita changer - so I am obviously a glutton for punishment, Im a member of the V-CC and occasionally contribute to the News and Views Magazine (thats when Hilary Stone can make sense of my copy)

ATB Dale - Thanks for restarting CR and having the energy and enthusiasm to get over the painful bits that upset with the previous incarnation!
