I heard the people of Bergamo( Bergamaschi) had a peculiar dialect , so Ciocc had the umlaut on o. Also heard it means an "alcoholic". Mr. Pelizzoli might posiibly be so. Once I read that he had a new workshop whose brand was "Gion" but I have just read he is brazing for Coppi.
