Hi Gang,

Great to have the list back!

Some time ago, I bought Tony Zanussi's Legnano SLX frame. Well, tonight I have the proud pleasure of announcing that the frame is now a complete bike again. Built up with a full C-Record group, Delta brakes and all, just like Maurizio rode. I'll send jpegs to anyone interested, as soon as I figure out how to get the blasted new fangled digital camera to talk to my computer, that is.

I "rode" the bike this evening for the first time on my trainer. This was my first ride following fracturing my hip in August at a track bike meet, so you'll excuse the controlled environment. Previous to this I had not ridden C-Record before, having somehow jumped over it between Super Record and indexed 8-speed Record. I presumed that it would work much like Super Record. I wasn't expecting the buttery smooth and precise shifting that was delivered. What a treat!

As an aside, does 6-speed C-record count for this list, Dale? A friend in California rides in a group that establishes their cut-off date for the classic bike set at "no-click" - as in pedals or shifters. Easy to identify the intruders on the group rides that way....

It's great to be back in the saddle, and be able to share the pleasure with this great group!

Best regards,

Larry Strung
