Subject: [Classicrendezvous] Phily Bike Shops

Carlo (and others):

Since I live and work in eastern PA, I just pulled out my Bike Shop map:

In Philadelphia:

#1.... Via Bicycle 606 S 9th St. with Curtis Anthony as proprietor. Old bike heaven. Highest recommendation. Absolute must see. 215-627-3370

Trophy Bikes, 311 Market St. 215-625-7999...sadly their Shrine o' Brooks is gone...

South Street - Bicycle Therapy, 2208 South St. 215-733-7849 (haven't been there yet)

I have dropped in at Bilenky's and they were very nice. 5319 N 2nd St. next to the railroad tracks. 215-329-4744

I heard a rumor that Harry Havernoon (sp) sold out his shops and is working independently.

Outside Philly:

Cycles BiKyle, 1046 Lancaster Ave. (US 30), Bryn Mawr (yes, that's spelled right!) 610-525-8442 http://www.bikyle.com

If anyone knows of other "bike shops of particular interest to someone of my ilk (Masi/Colnago/Gios/Hetchins/Raliegh/Campagnolo/Cinelli fan)", let us know.
