Thanks you very much for the info. I will limit this to one last statement. I now know that this is indeed a index shifter which no longer classifies this as classic in the full sense of what we see as classic. Any other responses can be sent directly to me. Do they index 6, 7, or up to how many speeds? and Do they have a friction option? Also, Do you know what year these came out exactly? Thanks again
