Alas, I did not. I was so pleased to see the Rudge again, and was so taken with things like the Simplex derailleur display unit, that the Raleigh went below my radar.

FWIW, I did find a serial number - A 5190, stamped along the left side of the BB shell underside, and running perpendicular to the line of the spindle. Looking at the retro Raleighs page, that can either indicate 1966 or some 1973 models.

So far, in scraping the multiple layers of paint on the head tube, I've found (in descending order) silver misted over black, over dull dark blue over brown over white - but in one spot there was indeed a bit of what looked like Lagoon Blue.

So, is this rascal likely to be full 531? The only Gran Sports I'm familiar with were the later ones with 3-tube 531 and stamped dropouts that required an adapter claw ...
