Columbus Matrix tubing is the same as Cromor, Trek had first claim to the name "Matrix" for bicycle products and forced the change. It's the same gauges and weights as SL (Ithink) and there are other differences I can't remember. It is/was considered an "entry level" tube set similar to their current "Thron" set and built a good riding bike at a reasonable price. The tube set used to cost about half of what an SL or SP set did. David Feldman ----------
