Subject: [Classicrendezvous] Columbus Day & Thanks in Canada......

Greetings All,

I normally don't mention my bikes, but Jerry's post about Canadian Thanksgiving Day, coupled with our own Columbus Day, has caused my to alter my "rules".

I just finished a 1986-87 Marinoni Special and went out for a chilly ride today. This is the first Marinoni I have ever ridden and I was impressed! This bike is very, very nice!! Extremely lively feel and very quick!! My Gran Criterium didn't ride any better (maybe not as nice!!) and didn't look as nice (Marinoni "Triple Fade" - fully chromed rear triangle & fork). In case you're wondering - 6 speed (friction) - many NOS Italian (not Campagnolo) components and tubulars.

Unfortunately, it's a bit large for me (59.5cm ct) so it will go up for sale sometime between now and Spring, but the ride was marvelous.........Happy Columbus Day!!!
