Subject: [Classicrendezvous] Put a face on it

The first Sunday of each month Chuck Schmidt has nurtured (he denies 'leading') a lovely 25 mile ride leaving from the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA. Remarkably there are no flameouts, vaporization's or verbal contractions expressed in any single digit or rants in spite of the wide range of views and experience in any days ride.
This is the closest I have ever come to a 'bike club'. Easy exchange of information, ideas, advice and a collection of bikes ranging from incredible impeccable collectibles to the eclectic and creative mongoloids.
Most importantly is the degree of civility, respect and responsibility apparent without diminishing spontaneity or content. The anonymity of the Net engenders in some a lack of human awareness. Put a face on it. Pretend you're riding next to them on a beautiful day and that you will see them again, perhaps on the street or in the store.
Chuck, Matt, Charles, Paulie, Rick, Dennis et al, thanks for a great ride!
