My old '74 or so wet bike Grand Jubile was something like that...until I
took it to Val at the Bikesmith in Seattle. We talked it over and I had him
drill and tap a small hole in the rear d. so that a machine screw could be
put in and then no problemo.. Instant proper adjustment. Probably can even
adjust it for when the next Shimano rear D in the future requires a
different configuration. Everything from Campy Synchro2, Suntour Superbe
Pro, and 'Mano 105 has worked and even indexed...downtube, bar cons, even
ergo. It's basically invisible so no one knows..
