There was Normandy, Atom, and Maillard. Did they all exist at the same time? When my Atom hub broke the Maillard my LBS gave me seemed to be an exact duplicate. The Normandy Sport hubs I have seem to be pretty smooth, but the old Record hubs still seem best.
