Now, I own a wheelset with original Dura Ace lf hubs; I also own 3 wheelesets with Record lf hubs. I have cleaned, repacked, and adjusted all of them at least once. IMO, there is no way that the Dura Ace hubs outperform the Record hubs I own in terms of bearing smoothness. While the DA hubs are pretty much Record knockoffs, the performance of the Record hubs in terms of low drag is pretty substantial. Don't get me wrong; I like and use the DA hubs (in fact, I rode a bike with them today), but I like the Record hubs better.
