A S-A Dynohub would certainly be classic, but also underpowered relative to the standard 3W dynamo. The only disadvantages of a Schmidt are the cost, and perhaps a very small weight penalty. FWIW, I've been very happy with my Schmidt since I bought it two years ago. It's certainly worth considering if you expect to ride at night, or in the dusk/dawn hours frequently.
