Don't think I was clear below, I meant to say that I thinks the Alfa components were made by Zeus. Whether or not the name referred to Alfa Romeo cars, I don't know. The Alfa stuff was mostly mid range stuff while the top model usually bore the Zeus name. But you would see bikes with a mixture. I have a circa 1970 Zeus bike with all Zeus Criterium stuff except for Alfa brakes. The brakes are actually pertty nice - the calipers similar to Universal 61 and the levers almost identical to Mafac Racer. BTW as I posted a while back, this bike has a very unusual tubing sticker identifying it as "A Grade" Reynolds butted tubing. Anyone ever heard of Reynolds butted "A Grade"?

Jerry Moos

Pretty sure they did. You will see these parts in old Zeus catalogs and as OE on old Zeus bikes, and they were made in Spain like Zeus. If they weren't actually made by Zeus, they were made by another Spanish company very closely associated with Zeus.
