I have also heard that first-generation Mavic SSC crankarms were machined out of the same raw forgings as NR/SR arms--this from a Mavic employee. Can anybody confirm this? Also, according to some, Silva makes all the cutting parts for Campy and Cobra tool sets, the price difference being in the handles and in the name on the wooden box, maybe.
