I-BOBs and Rendezvous'rs,

Sorry for the cross post. I had about a 30 second meeting with a bike that I didn't recognize the brand of and this sort of thing leaves me wondering.

What does anyone know of a G.A.C. Zeleris? Nicely lugged frame of some proprietary steel (may be gas-pipe for all I know). 2000 level numbered tubing (2086 or some such -- not anything I recognized). Decent looking Weinmann side-pulls, a drilled-ring crank that was of some Italian sounding name that I didn't know of either -- rather pretty. A copper metallic color with tasteful decals and a plastic headbadge with the G.A.C. logo.

Sorry to be so vague, but I had a quick look and have a bad memory. I'm curious as to country of origin and quality level. The owner is a dishwasher at a local homeless shelter and was complaining of the "skinny tires", so he may be open for a trade.

Funny thing is that I saw this guy and bike riding down the raised concrete median of a major street yesterday and I couldn't see the brand of the bike (and was wishing that I wasn't going 45 MPH with traffic on my tail). Then I happen to be at a used-bike/repair-shop today (miles away) when he rolls up with a loose crank bolt and in an obvious hurry to get to work. Wish I could have found out a few more details, but I can probably locate him again.

Thanks in advance for the help,
