I have Barelli pedals on my Harry Quinn, and sold several pairs in a shop I worked at in the late 70's. Besides the excellent fit and finish, and smoothness, the replaceable cages were neat; attached with phillips head screws. Still have a couple sets of the cages in gold and black alloy in original packaging, as well as Barelli heel plates for leather bottom racing shoes, and Barelli wheel covers.

I got some Barelli pedals in my shop about 1980, but they elicited little interest because of the high price. I wound up buying them for myself to replace the Lyotard platform pedals on my Bill Boston, and have used them ever since. Since I usually wear non-cycling shoes (no cleats) when I ride the Boston, they have held up well, and have proven to be supremely comfortable. Even after 20 years, they are the smoothest pedals I've ever ridden.
