I held mine up next to a handy Star, and it's the same. A good thing because I bought this one for the 40t inner ring that was on it :-).

By the way, I also have some Nervar Sport cottered and steel cotterless cranks that use the exact same rings as the Star. Don't see all that many 5-pin cottered cranks (with alloy rings).

I saw a pair of Stronlight arms on Ebay last week that looked just like 49D arms, except for being steel and cottered.
