Subject: [Classicrendezvous] Carradice handlebar bags

Anyone use the Carradice handlebar bag which Rivendell sells along with the Nitto bag rack they sell? I'm loooking for a bar bag that rides low enough not to block a handlebar mounted headlight as most of the currently available bags seem to do. The Carradice/Nitto combo looks like it would work, at least in the Rivendell catalog photos. I've actually dug a 20 year old Cannondale Bugger bag out of the attic. This bag has straps that secure around the brake hoods. It works, but mounting isn't as stable as I'd prefer. One of the reasons for a handlebar bag is to be able to mount a taillight on the seatpost, as most current ones are designed to do. Some can be mounted on the seatstay, but then the mudguard obscures it from some angles. Anyone know how to mount a taillight on an old plastic mudguard? I hate to start drilling holes.
