Subject: [CR]Old Raleigh Bike

Hi all, last night I went to a local bike shop to buy a couple of old crappy bikes so I could cut the frames up and practice my welding. They let me loose in their dark yard and told me to take my pick from a large pile of bikes intended for stripping and the recycler. I picked a couple nasty old bikes and an old woman's bike for the small tubing and the single speed rear hub and wheels, and chucked them into my truck paying $5 each. When I got home I took a closed look at the woman's bike. It is a Limited Edition Ti-Raleigh lugged bike. Do you suppose the Ti-Raleigh means Titanium? The Single speed rear hub turned out to be a 3 speed internal hub. This bike is actually in great condition and has all kinds of excellent detailing on it. Even the fenders and rear rack are in perfect shape. I've decided to clean this bike up and give it to my wife to ride on those Sunday afternoons when an old cruiser is just the thing to be riding. Does any one know what this old Raleigh might be worth or any history behind it?

Thanks in advance,

Mike Archibald
