By way of Sheldon Brown, Mel Pinto and TA I was able to obtain the "jeux de grain" to complete the TA "cottered" cranks on the Witcomb USA (these are earlier cranks than the Witcomb). Anyway I really want to thank all the parties and it says something about TA that they would make up a part for a crank that I believe they stopped making around 1961. It also says something about Sheldon and Mel Pinto as the prospect for profit on these parts could not be their motivation.

A picture of this crank assembly can be found on page 205 of the Data Book in the Van der Plas version. 40 years later the new TA parts fit perfectly flush with the sides of the crank.

I may be mistaken but isn't the Nivex derailleur on the front cover a slant pantograph? To think Suntour held the rest of the component makers in terror when prior art existed.
