Subject: [CR]Warning - Flying Scots for Sale

Impending move forces me to reluctantly offer the following for sale:

1960 Flying Scot (19.5" seat tube) 531 DB - resprayed yellow by M.Steel cycles, original metal head badge, replica decals. Nervex pro lugs/shell, pencil stays.

GB Bars and Stem, Original Campagnolo record front (slight play, but works well)and rear mechs, Stronglight 49D Cranks w/TA Rings, Campag bar end shifters w/hoods, Universal 61 c/pull brakes, universal levers (hoods shot, held together by electric tape!) record pedals (poor condition) Campag seat post, Brooks B17 narrow saddle, Vittoria clip ( for holding spare) tubulars, record hubs (rear has thread for fixed as well as freewheel, chrome on front gone) campag straight skewers, fiamme rims. Vittoria tubs

All mainly original equipment, bearings in hubs, b/b, headset regularly changed. This bike has been regularly ridden over its 40 yrs, so is by no means a show bike, but it has been well looked after and is ready to ride. Comes with NOS fiamme rim transfers, nervex pro transfers and relpica 531 frame and forks transfers. (All loose and supplied by H LLoyd cycles in UK)

Small ding in top tube, barely visible, minor impression to touch in tube. small ding in top of one seat stay where someone has used dumbell wrench to tighten seat bolt!

£275 ono -------------------------------------- 1967 Flying Scot (22.5." seat tube) 531 DB - resprayed steel blue by M.Steel cycles, original metal head badge, replica decals. Bocama lugs/shell, sloping fork crown, Campag ends w/mudguard eyelets and adjusters. Frame unmarked and in perfect condition

Original dura ace headset (good chrome), Brooks B17 saddle, Shimano Crane rear mech (short cage, precursor to Dura Ace), GB Bars and Stem, Shimano Tourney brakes (like Weinman 730) Shimano clip on down tube shifters, shimano low end front mech, Stronglight 49D cranks with Stronglight ringss, Gran Sport pedals, 27.25 wheels w bolt on hubs (not sure of make), alloy rims (Weinmann)

Again as far I can say, most of equipment has been with bike for a while so used regularly and as a result in far from show room condition. Ready to ride.

£275ono

------------------------------------------ Project Bike Dawes Super Galaxy (20.5-21" seat tube), mid 70's, 531 DB, frame in good shape, but needs respray. Good chrome on forks.

Incomplete but comes with original GB touring bars and stem, Weinmann 999 c/pull brakes and levers no hoods, Right hand TA cranks and rings (crap non matching left cranks) original carrier (needs attention)

£50

19.5" Claud Butler, 531DB 60's. Racing frame, no mudguard eyes, big dent in seat tube, carrier clip dings in seat stays, needs lots of attention and respray. Heading for local dump.

£10 to save it.

I would prefer to sell to UK, where I'm based as carriage would be so much easier
