Tom,

Great for you leggy types; but what about a squatty little dwarf like me? Where are the sub 21" frames from the 60's and early 70's? I know, almost non existent! I own a 1972 Hetchins curley with scorpion lugs that was ordered custom and picked up in England for a woman who was barely 5' tall. I aquired the (almost unridden) bike in trade for a custom frame I built her that was about 44cm C-T on 650c wheels. Fit her like a glove; no wonder she couldn't ride this 21" frame. This is about the max for me as well, since I stand a towering 5'5 5/8" after sleeping overnite hanging from my heels with bricks tied to my neck.

If anyone ever runs into a sub 21" Hetchins frame (not really looking for a complete bike, but would consider it if the frame was cool enough) from even the 50's thru 70's that is curley stays (or a hellenic) with cool lugs or untimately a curley track frame; I would love to have a shot at it. I would prefer something to restore as opposed to one that has already been refinished and in good condition because of the cost. I'll even consider a frame in need of repair, as long as it's not too rusty (which is not all that unusual with older English frames) as long as the price is right for the condition, etc. Really would like to have an older Hetchins curley track frame (aside from the one I have that I ordered in 1990) for my "accumulation of things that blow my dress up"; which I may or may not ride as I see fit. Definitely won't be racing it though! Keep your eyes peeled, you could make a squatty little dwarf very happy!
