Ok, first understand, I just started with classics probably just over a year or so ago and I am only 30 and I have been biking since the late 80s (say, 87). With college, I was limited in funds and therefore I raced my 88 Schwinn premis and rode around campus on my old Bridgestone 27in tired tourer. Thus, I did not covet many bicycles, after all, I didn't have a dime to my name to purchase another. But, my father did an immaculate paint job on my Bridgestone which would bring tears to anyone's eyes and amidst my final college years and money woes, I seperated with the bike. I regret to this day the parting. Simply because of the hard work, time, and effort my father put into this beauty prior to his illness which ended his ability to paint anymore. not that the bike itself was great, it wasn't. But the meaning in that bike is what I truly missed. The only other regret was in not purchasing a Bianchi Kronos TT bicycle in 93. I passed on that occasion and wish I had not! I loved the style of that curved top tube and the campy components. Maybe not classic to some, but from where I stand now and the starting point of cycling for me, it remains a classic. The Bridgestone by far is my biggest regret!
