Subject: [CR]Help! Badly in need for a longer brake mounting nut.

Hello..

I almost have completed my retro-tourism bike project when I found that I cannot mount the front Modolo Mach I front brake in the (Kestrel EMS Pro) carbon fork. (Sigh...)

I noticed that in this fork, the brake mounting hole is longer (1.650" / 41.91mm) than those found in normal steel / aluminum forks.

The easier option that I have thought so far is to find a longer mounting nut. I have tried with Shimano and other brands but they are shorter.

Also I have thought of making one at a machine shop but my local machine shop does not work with the metric system.

Does somebody have a mounting nut larger than .590" / 15mm? (in 6X1.00mm thread). Is there a place that can make one or that have them? Are there other alternatives?

Thanks!
