Anyone know a source for clampon brake cable clips for an oversize, probably 1 1/8" top tube? I'm hoping to buy a Teledyne, which I understand has a slightly oversize TT, but the original cable clips are missing. I'm thinking downtube water bottle clamps might work, but does anyone now of clampon cable clips, maybe something used on mountain bikes?

The other nice way to do it up, is to use campag, DA,m Huret, or other period clips and use some fine stainless wire to securethe botton , or an arched 3mm long bolt and nut. If you want something really creative, take a few spokes, cut them very short at the threaded end, hook or peen them into a 'head' and use a section of nipple as a nut

It works and will give you some conversation fodder at a rest stop or at the cirque.
