It certainly is possible, and I too do not have any official Sutour catalogs of that period to research. However, no US mail order company advertised them, nor did any mention of Ti pedals appear in any reviews in US magazines. I started thinking that it could be possible that they were produced for evaluation, like Campy does, but never made it into general production. I'll wager $10 they never existed. It is also possible that aftermarket Ti replacement spindles were available. Since the Superbe pedals was a cartridge bearing, the spindle would not be a complicated spindle to replicate in Ti. Maybe that's what you friend remembers?
