we just got back from a successful cross natz.
'drove out and back and hit NO snags or bad
weather. the team did well. alicia genest, last
years national champion, rode to a 4th place
this time. perennial national champion, jonathan
page rode to 6th place, just behind steve tilford,
(who said this is a young man's sport!!). dave genest
was 10th in his race. former usoc resident athlete,
bill skinner, was pulled in the U23 event, but redeemed
the day by getting a top 5 in the U23 supercup.
also, jonathan was 4th in the pro-am supercup
on sunday, leaving breakaway companion mark
mccormack in his wake. it was one fantastic weekend.
the icing on the cake was getting to meet sarah, rick,
and jeremy in the flesh. actually, in the polypro!
it was PRETTY cold! KCtommy, where you there?
it was great to meet you folks. thanks for coming
by, introducing yourselves, and cheering.
please stay up on jonathan's site; we expect he'll
be chosen for the national team to compete
in tabor, at the world championships.
