would love any opinions on this.

this colnago was up for sale a week or two ago--certainly a nice master x light frame, and as it hasn't been built up yet, the initial price was, though high, still tempting for a brand new frame.

apparently, there were no bites the first time around and so it appears again. here is where things get a little weird.

I wrote to the seller ("the bike shop") and asked if it was the same bike; he claimed it was. (see messages below) no further explanation beyond the attached e-mails should be necessary--does anyone else find anything (other than the spelling) a little peculiar here?

p.s. just realized that this is not a "vintage" question. however, for some vintage (colnago) fun, and in the true spirit of CR<,and beyond that, perhaps for the weirdest thing I have seen this year (granted, it is january 2nd) please have a look at the following: (basketball fans, beware!): <A HREF="http://"> http://ebay.com/<blah>

dear bike store,

I was interested in your colnago master light--tell me, though, is this the same frame that was for sale a week or so ago? it seemed in all ways identical, except that it was for sale in durham. (I would be more interested in the frame were it to be local, since I am in chapel hill, and it would make purchasing easier and shipping unnecessary.)

thanks,

Ricky,

It is the same frame as a week or so ago. The only change we made on ebay was to clarify the model year, it is a 2001. We had a style number on it and persons thought that was the year. If you are to buy it at our NC location, you would have to pay 6% sales tax, if you buy it in our Florida location, there is no sales tax.

Let me know if you have any other questions,

Thanks,

Justin

Shipping for the frame is only $25-$30 Tax is twice that. Ebay only wants to know were the frame is not were we are. The frame is in Durham we are in FL. we act a s a clearing house for many bike stores that do not want there names given out to any one. The best way for both of us is to let us let us ship the product to you.
