Dunlop made the SS rims in both the 26" and 27" variety-- They are getting to be quite hard to find and moderately expensive-- I would highly recommend saving the pair for a British ( I hate to use the term ) "Classic" restoration. Nelson Miller in Sunny Seattle!

Hear ! Hear ! I'll add another two cents to that. I don't remember the number of spokes needed, but I've got a late '40's Armstrong 3-spd. that's missing one of those rims. That is if they are the 26 x 1-3/8 variety. I don't really want yours, I just think their scarcity would seem to make them deserve a more historicaly correct bike. Don't know when I last saw one of any drilling available at the LBS.
