I think maybe someone mentioned Eugene Sloan's book The New Complete Guide to Bicycling? It is a great book full of all kinds of pics and info. I have a spare copy, dated 1974 if anyone wants it. Mint condition except slightly shelfworn paper cover. $20 including shipping.
BTW, my friend Bruce Tiebout, who just finished the entire Odyssey 2000 ride around the world, lucky him, has nearly every bicycle book ever printed, if anyone needs to reference something. I will ask him if he doesn't mind occasional questions. He has not found a new place to live since returning and all his stuff is in storage, so file this bit of info away for a month or so.
