Just got back from a weekend in Atlanta and noticed an old Dawes for sale in an antique mall. I wasn't in a position to haul anything home so I just took a short look at it. The bike was hanging from the rafters at the Paris on Ponce antique mall on Ponce de Leon. They are asking $75.00 for it. Looks old with steel cottered Stronglight crank, 27" clinchers, Weinmann centerpulls, Brooks saddle, cheap-o Huret der. and stem shifters. The bike had a metal headbadge and looked early '70s. Oh yeah, probably Reynolds main tubes only. Kinda cool, but I couldn't inspect it too closely due to the fact it was hanging from a high ceiling. Needs some cleaning and a good going over. Might be a total dog or might be cool. Oh well, just thought someone in the area might want to check it out.
