Hi,

I'm 41 with 41 good bikes (although 4 tandems are technically shared). My understanding, bike riding wife has 9. I have assorted other bikes, frames and projects-in-waiting banished to the far corner of the basement, not worthy of hanging from a hook.

My Diamant was recently retrieved from that corner and fitted with some old brown metallic Esge fenders for riding on these east coast winter roads. It already has a little rust action going on.

It appears stock, with that first generation Shimano 600 baroque-ish group and 27 inch wheels. It is Japanese built with Tange Champion No. 2 butted tubes. Not too bad. Crisp lug work. It has a lot of Diamant logos and Shimano stickers all over. It is also a kind of Ace bandage beige, with, as I mentioned, some rust coming through. My LBS came across it and donated it to me, not unlike an abandoned dog that gets brought to an animal shelter.

The Diamant brand came up a few days ago in a FS post from Renaissance-Cycles. His frames seem much nicer. Come to think of it, I'll be 42 in two weeks and I could use another bike. Hmm, Zeus 2000 fork crown, 531 tubes...
