Hello Richard. Well I have a early 70s USA Masi GC thats kinda missing the rings. I had the frame restored and took it to Wheel Smith in Palo Alto to have the threads chased and prepped for headset installation. When I picked up the frame most of the reinforcing ring material was removed!!! I complained to Rik and he was quite upset and said a young inexprienced did the work. To this day, I am still quite bummed out over it. Does anyone know what ever happened to Rik Hertberg (sp)? Best Wishes,
