dave... you lost your reinforcements by way of a zealous cutting tool. when i use dubois lugs, i plane them down from the side, not top/bottom. this way the lug height isn't affected. it's a subtle difference, but much more beautiful. the interesting thing about how the masi frames were done is that the interior of the headtube was cut at an angle, allowing the hs cups to fit up inside of the headtubes more. you can't tell unless the cups are removed. but compare it to any nervex or dubois or bocama lugged frame that is only faced across it's surface, rather than bored, and it'll be obvious. re: ric h. no news at all. smart guy. great friend. he'll end up on top. probably has aready. how 'bout an a.p.b. for ric hjertberg. he and jon are certainly part of the classic timeline. e-RICHIE p.s. sorry i omitted dave's letter at the bottom here.
