I'd check the iBOB listserve archives since someone on that list was making their own hoods a couple of years back. I've actually been thinking about hoods lately since I've been getting things ready for another big parts sale and noticed that I have no Campy levers with original hoods. I never noticed because I hated the stock hoods on most brake levers, except for the Modolo anatomic hoods. I've always just replaced the hoods with A'ME's or Modolo anatomic hoods from the get go since neither of these hoods would melt in the sun or tear easily, and they fit my hands 10x better then the thin Campy's or other hoods. I never hear anything about aftermarket hoods, everybody wants OE but since using aftermarket parts (alloy bolt kits, special BBs and headsets, seats, ETC. . .) is OK for "period correct" why doesn't anyone use aftermarket hoods?

Hey thanks for all the German bike info it's helped me find some new paths in my research.
