I've read the replies to my original question and the follow-ups about the head lugs. I've post new photos of the lugs and a photo of the bottom bracket shell. As you can see from the photo, I've taken the paint down to metal where the number should be, nothing. Now it could be somewhere else on the bb, but there are no indentations giving any hint as to where it would be. Please take a look at the photos at: http://www.iag.net/~davidg/MasiGC.htm There is no doubt that this is a repaint, the previous owner has stated that. As far as a repaired head tube with replaced lugs, I'm in no position to offer any opinion, I'm not a frame builder, just looking for information, good or bad!
