Ken, In person it seems to be one decal with a slighly different stylistic element for the Monza, but the same coloration. The person I bought it from was the original owner (confirmed by personal friends of mine who rode with him in NYC in the 60's) and he said this is the way it came. He ordered it from Italy through a shop in the Bronx (I have the name written down at home, but it escapes me now). Georgio Andretta (Gita owner) also had one like it while a young rider in Italy, so I think its authentic. Jim Cunningham has seen it in person and said he had never seen another, but did not question the decals. I wish I knew more. Ken

IMHO, your Cinelli "Monza" is actually an SC. The "Monza decals were added to the bike sometime after it was produced. The decals are in a slightly different font with lighter blue background (compared to the black - or extremely dark blue background of the "Cinelli" decal"). Everything else about your bike, including the "Mod. S.C." decal is the same as an S.C.

I saw a Cinelli one time that had this same treatment but instead of "Monza"

it had the word "Corsa". If you look at it, the placement of "Cinelli" on the downtube is right where it should be if it didn't have "Monza". If both were applied at the same time it would seem to make graphic sense to slide them down farther, hence at clue that it was added.

Nice bike. If it were mine, "Monza" would be outa there faster 'n you can say fingernail.
