My vote, The Seeds; HP Lovecraft and Love for mindless physchedellia much better (well, slightly better) than Iron Butterfly (In-a-goda-davida baby; the only good thing they did, originally titled In a Garden of Eden, but upon introduction by the drunken writer it became all that it is today.)
But I'd go for something more rockin like Wanda Jackson or the Kingsmen.
