I have to protest the subject here. While I also happen to ride a vintage bike on a wind trainer sometimes, there ain't nothing vintage-specific about the subject. It would be better asked on the iBOB list (not great there, either, in my opinion) or best on news:rec.bicycles.misc.

I mean, hell, we could start talking about what kinds of vacation destinations we've taken our vintage bikes to and ridden them. Interesting? Perhaps. On topic? 'Fraid not.

While I'm on the subject of list manners, one more thing - Dale's request for everyone to sign their messages just means you should tell us who you are _if_ your name doesn't normally appear. Since my name is part of what appears on every message I post everywhere, I don't bother and add my name to the text itself - wasted bandwidth, albeit not much.
