As a finishing touch to the pair of Cinelli CMX-1 bmx bikes I am just completing for Master & Miss Strung, I've convinced my wife to sew new covers for the foam padding that covers the top tube and handlebar cross bar (BMX thing - not typically seen on classic lightweights, sorry).
I'd like to highlight these new covers with appropriate period Cinelli emblems. Would any list member (shop owners, perhaps) have such an animal. Ideally, I'm looking for 4 of these. These bikes are mid-80's, so anything appropriate to that period (or even modern Cinelli, for that matter, if nothing else is available).
Side note:
I rode my 1970 Cinelli SC on the rollers this morning (while watching Breaking Away), beside my son's CMX-1 which is currently mounted on a trainer. Ben commented that my Cinelli was an "old timer". When I asked him how he could tell, he responded, "By the words." Then I asked him is he liked the old style decals on my SC, or the new style decals on his CMX-1, and he responded, " The new ones, of course."
