As I am trying to rebuild the Teledyne Titan with period components, the period seeming to be early 70's (maybe 72?) to about 1976, would a Tange Levin headset fit this era? They are still available at a moderate cost, have the classic look, and if they are correct for the era would complement the Sugino Mighty cranks, original DA sidepulls, and Cyclone derailleurs which I am considering. By the way, is the grey finish on the Titan anodized or some sort of early powder coating? Doesn't seem to be enamel paint.

Thought I'd also share the measures some of us in the frozen north have to resort to to restore a bike in January up here. Don't happen to have a heated shop with running water and a floor drain, so with the temperature in the 20's and snow on the ground, washing down the frame to remove accumulated dirt is a problem. Wound up taking the bucket of soap and water in the shower, then after washing the frame down, rinsed it off and got my daily shower all at once. Least anyone think me daft (or at least any more daft than previously believed), I must say in my own defense that Merckx's photo book "The Fabulous World of Cycling" has a photo of the noted Spanish climber Manuel Fuentes in the shower with his race bike.
