Aldo and the Rest of the List:

That solid Campy Seatposts is definately a new one on me!! Even my best conjecturing could not get near any explaination of that thing. This makes me think of all the Campy Oddities out there. I have run across a few in my time such as:

*Campy Super Record brake calipers with Campy made titanium main pivot bolts. Saw that one on the Pinarello that Battaglin won the 84 World Championships--hope I can sneak in a 84 vintage item and still be on topic.

*A mid-60s Gransport rear derailluer with Aluminum parallel cage plates, ala Nouvo Record. This Was NOT a Nouvo Gransport derailluer. I found this one on a mid-60s OLMO on an excusion to Mexico City.

*A NR headset that had headtube insertion portion of the top race drilled out ala Super Record, in addition to headtube insertion portion of lower cup also being drilled. I found this bugger on a Faggin I used to own.

*NR Pedals with titanium spindles ala Super Record Pedals. I found this bugger on an early 80s Tommasini my sister bought in New York years ago. the Dealer never told her about this, and it was only after 3 years of riding that she ever came to know otherwise.

It would be great to hear what other Campy Oddities people have found. Cheers, Dave--"the more I know, the more I realize that I don't know"--Anderson
