"Remember, the nut on a cottered crank is not (not highlighted) intended to pull the pin up tight; the pin must be hammered back in."
"Turn the cotter...smack it firmly down into the wedge"
"(cottered cranksets) are heavy, difficult to remove and re-attach and as far as I am concerned, are totally without merit when compared with even the cheapest cotterless crankset"
