Subject: [CR]TA Tevano Cranks - more info for anyone interested

This link was forwarded to me off-list: http://www.bikespecialties.com/BSwebSite/Parts.html

I emailed, asking for more information, and I'm hope the author won't mind me posting parts of the reply. The shop (in Torono, Ontario) sounds like a place we'd all like to visit.

> The Tevano set is an almost exact copy of the Campag Super
> Record. We sold a good number of them in the early eighties. The outer
> rings are 144mm BCD the inner ring is an odd 80mm. We stock the 144 rings
> but do not have any of the inner rings. The 80mm rings are still available
> and I can order them for you. Sizes available are 26-36 inclusive. Price
> is about $15.00US each. The Q factor of a triple set-up is approx. 110mm
> (Measured to outer faces of crank). The set should not be fitted to a
> Shimano axle. It is made to fit on a Campag. taper. The TA Pro Classic
> B/B in 123mm will suit.

The 'Q' factor sounds much too low, but I'm sure it's still relatively low when compared to most modern triple cranks - at least I hope it is!
