Columbine Cycleworks was started by John & Rich Murphy around 1979. About ten years ago the partnership had somewhat of a split. The split was due to the economics of custom frame building business (low volume). John continued to build frames while Rich moved onto managing a bicycle shop in Greeley, CO. The decal change came shortly after the split.
Today Rich is looking into starting frame building again, and is presently working on decals and a company name. Rich presently owns Rich's Bikeworks in Greeley, CO.
John is Columbine Cycleworks. He does all tasks by himself including painting.
