Dale,

Don't feel bad. Remember the $700 Alex Singer I passed on to the list! There was a feeding frenzy and I got many "are you crazy - you should have bought it yourself" messages, too! Of course the Singer wasn't my size. ;-)

I love these bikes and think we should pass good deals on to our friends.

Jill

Greetings Dale,

You have been moderating the list for less than 48 hours and now you have proven to us that you are prone to slip ups. How could you in good conscience allow a real nifty Rene Herse in your size to be broadcast to this list? You said you wanted on and despite it's tattered condition (It could be great or simply almost terrific) if will be worth a lot. It will be bidded to the ionosphere now that it got past the moderator.

Questions, Clifford Graves had lots of these puppies but did he ride one that small. Anyone from the area work on his bikes and could this be on of his of a buddies?

Second, I shouldn't bid on the bike but I would like a side bet on the reserve? I figure $4000.00 but the price will go much higher as the size might be very attractive in Japan.

It is a 52cm c-c and that translates even shorter since these bikes size _up_ usually 1-3cm, at least in my humble experience. Particularly noteworthy is the Herse crank. If anyone has the technical know-how to pull the many pictures off the site and post them somewhere, the more photos of Herse on the record, the better!!

now it will sure be interesting to see how far this one goes, no? Douglas Brooks, prefers to be known more for questions than answers, in snowy, snowy Canandaigua, NY >>
