Framebuilding *is* art - that's my opinion and I would wager it's the opinion of the overwhelming majority of the members of this mailing list as well, Bob. Nothing wrong with bringing that up from time to time. It was a fitting conclusion to a sometimes contentious discussion of one of the better known and most respected practioners of the craft of building classic bicycles, and uttered by someone also very well know and highly respected.

Gentle folk, I would ask the following of us all - Dale has offered to moderate the discussion. Please let him do just that, and if you'd like to suggest he cut short a particular thread, do as I have done in the past and email him privately rather than posting to the entire list. Dale, thank you again for all your efforts on our collective behalf.
