There were Competitions, they just weren't in the catalog. I don't know why. Same paint schemes as the Gran Sport, I believe.

yes Wes, there was a lilac w/ purple accents. You didn't hallucinate it. A friend of mine named Hayes rode one so he was of course known forever after as....... say it, don't read it,....... "Purple Hayes". Ooooh come on. It was the early 70s. (Apologies to Dead Jimi).

There was also a transparent olive green over chrome, and a white w/ turquoise. Not sure if there was a turquoise w/ white. In 69 they were black or forest green w/ chromed nevex lugs like the International. I have pictures of both floating around somewhere..... Still lusting for a black one.
